News for April

Next Borders League race is on Sunday 1st April at Chester. Visit the Borders League web page for info on the venue. This is an excellent course and a good venue. I hope we can have a good turn-out and keep up the good form we have shown at other races. But we are likely to lose a few star performers who are on other duties (see below) the day before. As usual, if you can car-share it will help.

Final race and presentation is on Wednesday 25th April at Corus Club, Rowley's Drive, Shotton, organised by Deestriders.

On Saturday this weekend (31st) is the Excalibur Marathon over the Clwydians. This is described as the toughest marathon in UK. I can believe that - 26.7 miles plus over 4,500 feet of climbing is tough. Good luck to the big group of Buckley Runners who are tackling this massive challenge. I am sure that they would appreciate any support out on the course or by sponsorship for Claire House. Good luck all of you.

Next Tuesday 3rd April is Pub Night.

And a word of congratulations to Matt Rose for a superb performance in Liverpool Half Marathon, third, behind two international runners with a new pb of 1.10.18.

For info our Facebook page has migrated to the new format, come and visit us.
