Manchester Marathon

Simon Roberts failed to break 2:50 on this flat course last Sunday, when the wheels came off in classic fashion at mile 20 as the race headed out into bleak open fields and a headwind. Lost 4-5 minutes to finish in 2:54:01 (gun time). Good race, though, which might become a useful London alternative in future.
