I bet John Buchan never visited Dolgarrog, as there was certainly many, many more than his own 'Thirty Nine Steps' facing runners virtually from the off as they were required to climb a reported 1200 feet in the first mile tracing the line of the water feed pipe that used to service he now defunct aluminium works.
A number of Bucklyites did visit however and had a really enjoyable day 'at the races' in near perfect conditions and fantastic atmosphere. The tea and sandwiches in the community centre afterwards just rounded the event off brilliantly.
The scores on the doors then.

Just a quick note - it was Simon Edwards, not me, that put in a fine performance for 7th place here. I would still be picking my way down the descent if I'd been daft enough to have a go! Well done all - hope to see you in South Wales.
