Chirk Triathlon - 28th April 2013

Jane, Margaret and Paul all competed in the Chirk Triathlon today, which consisted of 400 metres in the pool, 13 miles bike ride, followed by a 3 mile run.

New Trail Race at Llandegla

You've probably already picked this up from the Athletics North Wales blogspot, but in case you haven't, there are going to be a couple of trail races around the Llandegla forest on June 1st. There's a 10k race and a half marathon - details can be found via http://alwaysaimhighevents.com.

Hopefully the snow will have gone by then !!

Club events (Presentation and Race the Train)

Just a reminder that the monthly "pub night" is on the first Tuesday of every month in The Running Hare at Ewloe. We meet 8.30 onwards for food, beer and chat. Everybody welcome.

In June (on 4th) pub night will be the annual presentation of awards at the Running Hare. We will aim to eat at about 8 with the presentation about 9. We will run a bit earlier that evening. Awards will be for

• Borders League (10 men and 4 ladies) 
• Cross Country (6 men and 4 ladies)
• Club Championship (Top 3)
• Members Award - nominated on the night for the the club member recognized for making a significant contribution to the club.

Race the Train in Tywyn is on Saturday 17th  August. Many of us will be going down to camp for the whole weekend (and a lot longer in some cases). The campsite is provisionally booked. I just need to confirm numbers nearer the time. Please let me know if you want to camp.
