A tranquil contrast with last year, when bad weather decimated the field and led to numerous cases of hypothermia. A great turnout from Buckley for this long AL race (12.8m/3800ft I'm reliably informed!) around four peaks in the northern Carneddau. Conditions were good for fast times, with excellent performances again from Jez and Simon E, while Pete just missed first v60. Simon R

Good day out, although for me my time confirmed why I would be better off sticking to shorter routes! However I was pleased that armed with my map and compass I managed to navigate the route successfully and admire the wonderful views
